Our Family
If you’ve been to The Pheasant or The Tally Ho, you’ll recognise the thinking at Acre. If you haven’t, this is a great place to start!
We're in good company...
Acre is part of a wider family of places run by Sarah and Mark, all rooted in Shropshire and all built on the same principles.
If you’ve been to The Pheasant or The Tally Ho, you’ll recognise the thinking at Acre. If you haven’t, this is a great place to start!
The Pheasant at Neenton
The Pheasant was closed for almost 9 years before a desire among the local people of Neenton led to the formation of the Neenton Community Society, dedicated to the regeneration of the rural area. Just before Christmas in 2013, the society purchased the derelict pub.
The local community have devoted an extraordinary amount of time and energy to make this happen, raising funds and working to acquire, restore and even extend the beautiful pub.
Now a thriving classic country inn with a touch of style, it’s owned by the community and run by Sarah and Mark.
It’s where it all began, and where many people first got to know their excellent cooking and hospitality.
The Tally Ho
The Tally Ho was first licensed in 1844 and sits within the stunning valley of Corvedale, South Shropshire. With sweeping, green hills and long, meandering waterways walkable nearby, the Tally Ho has long been a popular stop.
The Tally Ho was the second project for Mark and Sarah who have brought new life to the inn with fresh, locally sourced British food along with a friendly atmosphere and carefully selected ales, wines and spirits.
